Who Loves Birds?

It has been said that people love pets but most of them often fail to understand love and ego. Love or loving-kindness is often replaced with self-defensive ego and craving or self-defensive ego is used as love to get and catch something in the cut-throat world.
When one says he or she loves pets or birds very much, actually, he or she loves putting them in the cage. You can see many golden fish in the cage or box in the houses, they have no chance to swim and go freely. This is how people love them. Fish love swimming freely and birds love flying up freely. While people want to be as free as a bird, they love putting birds or golden fish in the cage, saying they love them very much and their loves are more than words. Food for thought is whether they really love them or not. Is it the real meaning of love?
One loves others for the sake of oneself in the mundane world. Real love has no self-centered thought or view. Love is unlimited and has no colour nor discrimination. Love is connected with freedom come out of mutual understanding and patience or sharing things good or bad with one another while striving for a better way of thinking and living.
Then, try not to store your beloved ones or birds or golden fish in the cage of your self-defensive ego or craving, saying ''I love them very much, so I cage them''. If you love birds, try to love and see birds flying up in the sky.
