Like a Lotus

We, worldly people, have both good and bad characters. No one is totally purified or perfect if he or she is a worldly being (Puthuzana). Some are making endless effort to overcome all evil through understanding what is what and what to do and how to do while striving for the value and integrity of life, on the other hand, some short-sighted ones are keeping themselves on the sensual pleasure or searching for ever pleasurable objects assuming that such a living is the key to solve the problem faced in day to day life and so on so forth. It is said that man is a creature of craving, fighting forever not for daily bread only but for all whether essentially need or not. So, are we impure in our thought and word as well as deed? The answer is, ''Yes''. Here, what is necessary to note is that it doesn't mean we all are totally impure and incurable. If I am asked if we can change ourselves impurity to purity to reach a high position here and hereafter, I must say, ''Of course, we can''. How? I do hope you have ever seen a lotus blooming out of water. Then, it is so easy that you can follow to do it just now. Ever remember the lotus just comes out of water mixed with mud, passing through the water with no mud on it and standing on the surface of water, pointing out how easy it is to overcome all evil by both doing good and purifying the mind mindfully. Don't forget, then, we can break through all kinds of things both hard or easy to do on the day we fully understand how the lotus comes out of muddy water if we actually wish to do good more and more as we say in association with one another.
